Fire victims in southern Santa Barbara County now have access to on-demand claims service through Allstate. The insurance company’s Mobile Claims Office has arrived in Goleta to help customers affected by the wildfires.
The unit is a specially outfitted motor home that provides a place for customers to meet with catastrophe personnel to begin the claim handling process.
“Our hearts go out to the residents impacted by this devastating catastrophe,” Robert H. Barge III., Allstate field vice president for California, said in a release. “Allstate’s goal is to place our Mobile Claims Office where we can reach out to impacted customers so we can assist with their emergency needs. It is equipped with up-to-date technology, like satellite connectivity to enable us to take claim reports and access policy and claim information. That enables Allstate to service many of our customers on-site.”
The Mobile Claims Office is located at the American Red Cross Evacuation Center at San Marcos High School, 4750 Hollister Ave. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. until 7 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday, 8 a.m. until 5 p.m.
Allstate customers whose home or automobiles have been damaged or destroyed by the fire can call 1-800-546-8676.
