More than 550 Allan Hancock College students were recently added to the college’s Dean’s Honors List and Special Honors List for the spring 2008 semester. The lists recognize students’ academic achievement at the college. For each semester, students named to the Dean’s Honors List must complete at least 12 units with a 3.5 or better grade point average. Inclusion on the Special Honors List requires that students complete at least 12 units with a 4.0 grade point average.

For the spring 2008 semester, 178 graduates from Santa Maria Valley high schools were among the 555 Allan Hancock College students named to the Dean’s Honors List. This number included 82 graduates from Righetti High School, 58 from Santa Maria High School, 27 from St. Joseph High School, six from Pioneer Valley High School, and five from Delta High School.
