Run Away
What’s it rated? TV-MA
When? 2026
Where’s it showing? Netflix

When Simon Greene (James Nesbitt) gets a tip that his estranged daughter, Paige (Ellie de Lange), is busking at a local park, he rushes over to find the young, troubled girl. When Paige met her boyfriend, Aaron Corval (Thomas Flynn), she adopted his bad habits, one of which was drug addiction. A confrontation with Aaron at the park puts Simon in the spotlight, a viral video sweeps the community, and when Aaron turns up dead, Simon is the chief suspect as Detective Fagbenle (Alfred Enoch) and partner Ruby Todd (Amy Gledhill) dig into what happened.

Private eye Elena Ravenscroft (Ruth Jones) gets hired by a few families with missing young adults and is also following a mystery of her own. Dee Dee (Maeve Courtier-Lilley) and Ash (Jon Pointing) seem to be on some sort of a murder mission, and we learn of their sinister ties to a cult.

Interwoven are secrets that Simon and Ingrid’s (Minnie Driver) oldest son, Sam (Adrian Greensmith), is holding, and when Simon and Ingrid go to find answers from Paige’s drug dealer, they wind up on the brink of death.

This compelling mystery mercifully gives us answers in the end. (eight 41- to 50-min. episodes)
