The Santa Maria Recreation and Parks Department, Santa Maria Valley YMCA, and the Boys & Girls Club are teaming up to host the annual MLB Pitch, Hit, and Run Baseball Skills Competition on May 4 from 6 to 8 p.m.
Boys and girls ages 7 to 14 will demonstrate their pitching, hitting, and base running abilities for accuracy, distance, and speed. Top performers will advance to the sectional competition. Registration takes place on site the day of the event, and participation is free.
The competition will be held at the Hagerman Sports Complex, 3300 Skyway Drive in Santa Maria.
