Baseball players from 8 to 18 will have a chance to brush up on their diamond skills during two summer clinics hosted by the Allan Hancock College baseball team.

The first clinic, for players ages 8 to 13, will take place June 22 through 25 and June 29 through July 2 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The individual cost of attendance for one session is $100, or $175 for both clinics. Additional family members can attend a one-week session for $75.

A more advanced clinic runs July 6 through 9 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and is designed for players aged 14 to 18. The cost is $125, and $100 for each additional family member.

Both camps will include instruction from Santa Maria Packers’ head coach Scott Nickason and pitching coach Bryn Smith, Hancock head baseball coach Chris Stevens and assistant coach Jason Carlson, Santa Maria High School head coach Terry Newby, and Lompoc High School head coach Jim Allen.

Registration forms are available at Play It Again Sports on South Broadway and the Allan Hancock College Athletic Department at 800 S. College Drive. Forms are also downloadable from the Packers website at packersbaseball.com.
