Tickets are now on sale for the Solvang Jazz Festival, scheduled for Sept. 25 and 26. This year’s lineup includes “A Hip Improvisational Evening of Jazz—Night Club Performance” with the Eugene Maslov Trio and a special guest at 7:30 and 9:30 at Hotel Corque on Sept. 25. Maslov is a Russian pianist who has performed at Carnegie Hall with Al Jarreau, Joe Lovano, and other jazz greats.
From noon to 3 p.m. on Saturday, there will be student jazz group performances at the Solvang Festival Theater. At 7 p.m. on Sept. 26, an All Star Jazz Concert Tribute to Freddie Hubbard will take place with Take 6 and a tribute band under the leadership of Kamasi Washington and other guests at the Solvang Theater.
