Local nonprofit and peace advocacy group WonHeart is joining with a worldwide movement of peace organizations on Dec. 21 to try to create a more peaceful world.
The event, scheduled for noon at Simas park in Santa Maria on Dec. 21, is open to everyone who wants to contribute. The event will feature 12 minutes of silence, 12 minutes of sound, and 12 minutes of imagination. If community members aren’t able to make it to the park at noon, they’re invited to participate wherever they may be.
The event is part of a larger movement called the “3 Days of Love,” running Dec. 20 to 22. The whole plan of the movement is to share words, actions, and ideas, all inspired by love.
