Allan Hancock College and the San Luis Obispo International Film Festival are joining forces to provide an event celebrating student filmmaking and giving students much-needed advice on succeeding in the industry.

“How to get a job in Film and TV” is the name of the event, which will feature screenings of works from 40 years of student filmmaking at Allan Hancock College. Current and former students’ work will be highlighted, followed by a panel discussion featuring former Allan Hancock College film students who are now working in the film industry.

The event is scheduled for March 10 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Downtown Centre Cinema, 888 Marsh St., in SLO. Cost is $10, $8 for students. More information available at slofilmfest.org.
