Pin-Ups on Tour is partnering with local American Legion Post 56 for a WWII style vintage variety and burlesque show on Oct. 28. Julia Reed Nichols, founder and chief pin-up, said the event is about recreating the bawdy fun of Vaudeville theaters that sprang up throughout America before and after World War II.
Nichols said this is the first time the group is performing in Santa Maria and it will feature all of the original stars. Buddy Watson, a former U.S. Navy service member who learned to tap dance while stationed aboard a submarine, will also perform.
American Legion Post 56 is located at 501 N. Pine St., Santa Maria. Doors open at 6 p.m.; show starts at 7 p.m. General admission tickets are $20 online/$25 at the door. Reserved seating is $35 to $50. Military service members attend free while tickets last; 18 and up only; vintage attire is encouraged. To RSVP, visit pinupsontour.com.
