The Central Coast Express 14U fastpitch softball team, coached by Tom Cline, came home with the championship for the USSSA Queen of the Diamonds Tournament in Fremont, held April 2 and 3.

The Express finished the weekend 5-0-1, led by Katie Barbarick and Bailey Killough, who allowed only four runs in three games. Along with solid defense, the offense came through for the Express, led by Isabella Partida and Stephanie Villalovos. Partida, of Santa Maria, went 11 for 14 from the plate with three triples, and Villalovos added key hits to seal the Express’ victories.

As a team, the Central Coast Express is Taryn Smith, Alexis Topas, Bailey Killough, Katelyn Barbarick, Sierra Fuentez, Myranda Morales, Jesslin Zuniga, Isabella Partida, Stephanie Villalovos, and Allyssa Ruelas.
