The public is invited to celebrate the Lompoc Mural Society’s 16th Mural in a Day project at a dedication ceremony at 5:30 p.m. on Sept. 6, following the mural’s completion.
Artists will create the mural from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the south wall of 111 1/2 South H St.
The subject of this year’s mural, Lompoc Vintage, is a history of the wine industry in the Lompoc Valley. The master artist is Colleen Goodwin Chronister of Keizer, Ore. Participating artists include Vicki Andersen, Minnie Anderson, Diane Atturio, James Cochrane, Jonathan Davies, Hal Dayton, Sharon Donaghe, Linda Gooch, Phrankie Guerrero, Angie Hamlin, Steve Kennington, Carol Oliveira, Carole Patton, Irene Rinta, Julia Rodgers, Russell Shinpo, Nita Streetman, Hattie Stoddard, Dee Sudbury, and Ann Thompson.
