Santa Maria Recreation and Parks is teaming up with local law enforcement officers to provide a free trip to The Shack paintball field in Santa Maria on June 15.

Teenagers in 7th through 12 grades will meet at the Abel Maldonado Community Youth Center—600 S. McClelland St. in Santa Maria—at 9:30 a.m. to head out for a day of paintball games.

The trip will be chaperoned by three local law enforcement officers and provide teenagers with an opportunity for fun. The goal is to motivate and encourage a positive relationship between law enforcement officers and teens.

Space for the trip is limited, and registration packets are available at the Abel Maldonado Community Youth Center. They must be submitted to the center by Thursday, June 13. For more information, call the youth center at 925-0951, Ext. 252.
