The Lompoc Public Library gives local artists the opportunity to show their work at the library’s Grossman Gallery space, and the call for artists is currently out for featured exhibits in 2017. Local artists can submit work samples for consideration now through Sept. 7.

In order to be considered, artists must provide a representative body of work of at least six exhibit-ready pieces, which will be evaluated for technique, expression, and stylistic achievement.  The evaluation will be performed by the Lompoc Public Library’s Art Advisory Committee on the deadline date, during its meeting.

Those seeking consideration should bring their exhibit-ready pieces to the Grossman Gallery between 3:30 and 4 p.m. on Sept. 7 and be prepared to pick up their work after 5 p.m., when the meeting ends. Exhibits run for one or two months.
