Soldiers and Marines truly sacrifice a lot, so in order to comfort those troops who are overseas and isolated from the warmth a sleeve of cookies can bring, Girl Scouts have wrapped up their sale at the storefront of Goldās Gym in Santa Maria.
Though the physical sale has ceased, anyone who wants to buy cookies, which will be mailed abroad, can still visit girlscoutsccc.org/cookies, and pay with a credit card. The form will be offered online until the end of March.
A box of cookiesāfrom their famous Thin Mints to the coconut caramel Samoasācosts $4. A case of cookies, which contains 12 boxes, will cost $48. The cookie contribution is tax-deductible, and the gift can be given anonymously, if the donator wishes.
āI still have plenty of cookies in my garage,ā Sandra Skidmore said. āSo as long as there are cookies there, cookies will be available.ā Anyone who wants to donate, but who still has questions, can call Sandra Skidmore at 925-1952.
