Four new board members were elected at the most recent meeting of the Central Coast Commission for Senior Citizens. The new members are Judith Dunn, Santa Maria; Janelle Parsons, Santa Barbara; Cheryl Kippen, Arroyo Grande; and John Alongi, San Luis Obispo.

ā€œNeeds of senior citizens are increasing due to numerous factors, such as increasing numbers of the old, reduced personal incomes, and increasing housing costs,ā€ Mal Towery, president of the board of directors, said in a release. ā€œI am pleased to have the professional knowledge from the new members of the board as we work to address these increasing needs.ā€
