Coastal Voices, a local community choir, is used to performing a cappella or with the help of a piano, but the group decided to call in for some help for an upcoming concert.

The show—scheduled for May 18 at 4 p.m. and May 20 at 7 p.m. at the St. Andrew United Methodist Church, 3945 S. Bradley Road, Santa Maria—is a celebration of the ā€œgood old daysā€ of music, featuring a lineup of Tin Pan Alley favorites. Such songwriters as the Gershwins, Hoagy Carmichael, and Cole Porter are the stars of the show, but to provide an authentic feel, the Coastal Voices Jazz Trio was formed to accompany the choir and provide some jazzy rhythm.

The cost of admission to the concert is $12, $10 in advance. More information is available at 937-3416, coastalvoices.info, or coastalvoices@gmail.com.
