We don’t often take time to really recognize or thank someone for the outstanding job that is performed on a daily basis. We tend to take for granted the safety and security that an officer of the law provides without regard to the hidden dangers. Officers risk their own lives every time they go out to patrol the streets.
I’m writing because I feel the need to express my gratitude and heartfelt thanks to one specific police officer, Chief Gary Hoving of the Guadalupe Police Department.
I’ve had the pleasure of dealing with Chief Hoving on occasion. I must say that he is always very professional, respectful, and polite when dealing with me and the public. He has proven that this police department can get the job done efficiently, effectively, and most importantly, with respect.
In my eyes, Chief Hoving and the Guadalupe Police Department should be commended for their dedication to upholding their duties of serving and protecting the citizens of Guadalupe.
I know the pay is low for the Guadalupe Police Department. I hope the citizens of Guadalupe will back our police department. I’m proud to know Chief Hoving and wish to express my appreciation on behalf of my family and myself. I truly appreciate his hard work and dedication. Furthermore, I respect him as an officer in our small community.
I would like to know if, as police chief, you are willing to take another job on top of what you are doing now. Keep the job you are doing now and be a director, manager, or city administrator for the city of Guadalupe. I do not want this city administrator to appoint his replacement, and I hope that our City Council will consider Chief Hoving for this position.
Thank you Chief Hoving and our police department for a job well done.
