The annual Autumn Arts Festival is a huge celebration of arts and the fall harvest. The Santa Maria Arts Council will be there in spades, as usual, at the annual fine arts exhibit during the festival with the Arts Councilās regular booth, where locals can buy raffle tickets for the annual birdhouse fundraiser.
The Santa Maria Arts Council gets some of the areaās most celebrated artists to beautify birdhouses, which are then raffled to help support the councilās scholarship program. Visitors who purchase raffle tickets donāt have to be present to win. They can also choose which birdhouses they hope to win. Raffle tickets are $1 each.
The Autumn Arts Festivalāwhich also includes plenty of other live attractions, displays, food, and a wine and beer tasting eventāhappens on Oct. 1 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the McClelland Civic Corridor at the 400 to 600 blocks of South McClelland Street in downtown Santa Maria.
