The NatureTrack Film Festival (NTFF) will host Canadian painter Cory Trépanier, director of Into the Arctic: Awakening, at a Spotlight Dinner and film event on March 23.
Trépanier began filming his plein-air painting expeditions in 2001, which led to the development of several television documentary series. At the dinner, he will give a presentation about his painting trips around the world including Canada’s northernmost arctic regions. Guests will hear stories from the filmmaker and learn about the inspirations for his paintings and film work. Chef Budi Kazali of The Gathering Table at The Ballard Inn will provide the food for the eventing, and wines from The Hitching Post will also be featured.
The dinner will be held from 5:30 to 8 p.m., and tickets are $75. To purchase tickets, visit naturetrackfilmfestival.org. The dinner will be held at 3569 Sagunto St., adjacent to Dennee’s courtyard.
