The Lompoc Valley Arts Council holds a quarterly forum and features presentations by local artists, with the next forum scheduled for Jan. 21. The featured speaker is Angelina La Pointe, a singer, songwriter, upright bass player, fashion stylist, and artist who will share her block printing techniques.

The presentation, titled Block Printing in the Modern Age, will showcase letterpress printing, design, and illustration aided by contemporary techniques. La Pointe received a bachelor’s degree from the College of Creative Studies at UCSB, where she focused on block printing and book arts.

The presentation begins at 7 p.m. on Jan. 21, and is preceded by a business session of the arts council board beginning at 6 p.m. at the Stone Pine Hall, 210 South H St., Lompoc. More information is available at 735-6896.
