The 11- and 12-year-old Southside All Stars of Santa Maria continue to amaze with their baseball talents.

In a recent game, Southside was down 15-2 in the sixth inning only to turn around and bring the game to 16-15 at the start of the seventh inning.

The bottom of the seventh inning brought Trevor Garcia to the plate; he tied the game with a solo homerun shot. Teammate Marc Rubalcaba was walked and was in perfect position for a two-run homer by Jose Mireles. Garcia and Noah Martinez were on fire, each with solo homers and two-run shots. Robert Lopez took the mound for Southside in the sixth and seventh inning—the last of the five pitchers—to earn the win.

Ten home runs and one miraculous comeback later, Southside made its way to the championship round after defeating District 63 Goleta Valley South.
