Shepard Hall Gallery at the Santa Maria Public Library will feature the work of artist Sunni Gibbons during the month of July. The exhibit, titled Farm Workers of the Central Coast, showcases the produce teams that are at the agricultural heart of the valley’s economy. Gibbon’s work features farmland settings, the harvesting and assembly teams, and the individual workers. The paintings offer an intimate glimpse into the day-to-day activities that constitute the work of the local produce industry.

The show opens July 2 with an artist’s reception on July 10 from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. Shepard Hall is on the first floor of the library at 421 S. McClelland St. The show continues through July 30.

The exhibit is part of the Santa Maria Public Library’s comprehensive Art and Culture Program designed to present rotating exhibitions of local and regional artists.
