The City of Santa Maria Recreation and Parks Department presents a new “Summer Cell Phone Photo Contest” event, calling for locals to snap a photo with their phone at any Santa Maria Recreation and Parks event, program, or park.
The photos will be judged by local artists and, if selected, will be displayed on the PLAY, Inc. Facebook page and at the 2013 Autumn Arts Grapes and Grains Festival on Oct. 5.
Participants have to e-mail their cell phone photos to photo@cityofsantamaria.org by the deadline of Sept. 22. Prizes will be awarded for first through fourth places. More information is available at 925-0951, Ext. 260.
