The Los Alamos Library currently shows a collection of intricate and colorful geological maps of northern Santa Barbara County created by Thomas Dibblee, who worked for the U.S. Geological Survey before the wide use of satellite imaging.

The exhibit is part of an ongoing series sponsored by the Friends of the Los Alamos Public Library and curated by Karen Gearhart-Jensen and Kam Jacoby. The Artistic Works of Science exhibit was made possible through collaboration with the Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History, the Santa Maria Public Library, and the private collection of Stephan Bedford. The exhibit shows through Jan. 15, 2017.

The Los Alamos Public Library is located at 405 Helena St., Los Alamos. More information is available at 344-1025 or jonhooten@gmail.com.
