Allan Hancock College’s early childhood studies program is offering a fall 2013 class for families and caregivers who work with infants and toddlers at risk for special needs.

Ā

Students will examine risk factors, learn how to access community resources, discuss strategies for assisting families, and explore using play to facilitate development for children with special needs.

Ā

Class leaders will assist with services and strategies for children enrolled in California’s Early Start program. The three-unit class will be offered at the Santa Maria campus on Mondays at 2:15 p.m. starting Aug. 19.
