The Santa Barbara County Water Agency announced the winners of the 2016 Water Wise High School Video Contest, which saw 22 videos submitted from 10 different high schools throughout the county. Students were asked to create 30-second videos detailing water conservation techniques, with this year’s theme of Water Conservation in the Forecast.

First place was awarded to a Carpinteria High School student for her video Water Wise Rain or Shine, while second place went to another Carpinteria student for Despite the Rain. Third place went to The Water Detective, which was submitted by a Santa Barbara High School student. The honorable mention went to a Dunn High School student for their short The Weatherman.

Winners received cash and gift card prizes. Winning videos can be viewed at waterwisesb.org/hsvc.wwsb.Ā
