The University of California Cooperative Extension (UCCE) and the Santa Barbara County Workforce Investment Board are offering free “Train the Trainer” courses in Guadalupe and Santa Maria.

The hands-on training sessions aim to provide local organizations and agencies working with youths aged 14 to 24 the tools to build workforce readiness in their clients and focus on UCCE’s “Should I Be Working?” curriculum.

Any North County organization serving the age range can participate, and each attending agency will receive a free copy of the curriculum. Register at ucce.ucdavis.edu/survey.

Courses will be offered in Guadalupe on Nov. 30 from 1:30 to 4:15 p.m. at the Guadalupe Senior Center, 4545 10th St.; and in Santa Maria on Dec. 1 from 9 to 11:45 a.m. at the Santa Maria/Orcutt County of Santa Barbara Public Works building at 620 W. Foster Road.
