The owners of the 18-hole championship La Purisima Golf Course in Lompoc are looking to sell the property, listing the popular links with an asking price of $7.25 million.

Developer Kenneth Hunter, Jr., built the course in 1986 with the help of renowned golf course architect Robert Muir Graves. The par 72, 306-acre course along Highway 246 contains about 92 acres of irrigated fairways, greens, driving range, and a putting green.

The course includes a pro shop, restaurant, and cart shop, but currently has no commercial development or housing. Al and Josh Mendrin of London Properties in Fresno are marketing the land to potential buyers as a location for a vineyard, winery, equestrian facility, nursery, farming, or tasting room with a golf course.

La Purisima is partially located in the Sta. Rita Hills & Santa Ynez AVAs and contains approximately 150 acres of potential vineyard land.

The golf course has twice received 4 1/2-star ratings from readers of Golf Digest, and was named the 40th best public course in the country by the readers of Golf World.
