A new student-led production of Chicago will premiere at the Pioneer Valley High School Performing Arts Center in Santa Maria on Thursday, March 23, at 7 p.m.

Additional performances will be held on March 24, 25, 30, and 31 and April 1, at 7 p.m. each evening.

This iteration of the popular musical, set during the roaring 1920s, features student actors, singers, and dancers from Pioneer Valley High School, Righetti High School, and Santa Maria High School, according to the Santa Maria Joint Union High School District.

ā€œThe energy of this show, this cast, is out of this world,ā€ Pioneer Valley High School student Makai Copado said in press materials. ā€œIt has been such a blast putting such a timeless and iconic show on. I am so confident people are going to enjoy it very much.ā€
