Hilda Zacarías, the sole Democratic candidate for the 33rd State Assembly District seat, recently announced that she’s received endorsements from four former San Luis Obispo County supervisors: Shirley Bianchi, David Blakely, Evelyn Delaney, and Bud Laurent. “I am humbled by the growing momentum for our campaign to change Sacramento,” Zacarías said in a release to the media. “Once again, Sacramento has let us down by refusing to pass a budget on time. As an accountant who has experience working with Republicans in City Hall, I believe I have the experience to help bring fiscal sanity to the budget process in the Assembly. I sincerely thank the former supervisors who have faith in my abilities and have joined our campaign for new leadership.” Zacarías will face off against current San Luis Obispo County Supervisor and Republican Katcho Achadjian on the November ballot.
