Los Alamos merchants are pulling out the chairs for the inaugural Chair Faire—which they hope will become an annual event—from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on July 31. The chairs will line the sidewalks of Los Alamos for display. Artisans and chair owners can show any type of chair, but artistically inclined folks are especially encouraged to create and exhibit.

Games of musical chairs accompanied by a live fiddler will be held at various locations on Bell Street. Prizes will be awarded.

The Chair Faire is donating a portion of proceeds to the Los Alamos Olga Reed Elementary School. All entry fees are being used for advertising, the fiddler, and the school. For more information, contact Connie Rohde at the C Gallery in Los Alamos at 344-3807.
