This solo exhibit showcases photos by Lompoc-based photographer Susanne Schenck, who will be in attendance at the upcoming reception.

ā€œI’ve always enjoyed taking pictures. I feel like a piece of me is missing if I don’t have some sort of camera with me,ā€ Schenck said in press materials from the Lompoc Valley Art Association. She added that many of her photos have been taken during her various travels.

ā€œMy biggest role as a photographer, I feel, is to share my experiences. I often hike or canoe and when I go on an adventure; I want you to feel like you are there with me on my trip seeing the wonders I see,ā€ said the photographer, who aims to capture scenes of peace and tranquility through her work. ā€œWe all need a moment to just be relaxed and calm—I try to give just that.ā€
