Need to learn how to peacefully resolve a conflict? Conflict Solutions Center in Santa Maria is offering free monthly one-hour workshops teaching mediation skills.

Attendees to the introductory workshop will learn to resolve conflicts with bosses, neighbors, spouses, or strangers and ways to effectively mediate conflicts among others. Participants will also be taught how to transform their thinking, language, judgments, and behavior and further concepts to improve communication.

Trainer Kimberly Rosa has more than 24 years of mediation and training experience and has facilitated training for businesses, government, schools, and community groups. The next free workshop will be held April 9 from noon to 1 p.m. at the Conflict Solutions Center Community Mediation building, 120 E. Jones St., suite 133. RSVP to reserve a seat.
