Got some extra room? PCPA’s summer company of actors and technicians will be arriving soon for next season’s theater lineup, and they’re in need of affordable housing.

This influx of theater professionals, who will live in Santa Maria from May through September, are seeking rooms, apartments, and even lofts.

Summer actors and technicians are here on scholarship. The summer season of five productions includes two very large musicals: Curtains and West Side Story, along with the comedy Sylvia, the song-cycle Songs for a New World, and the world premiere of Invierno. In all, nearly 200 actors and technicians have been selected to produce this next season of plays.

Housing must become available between May 17 and June 1, and most interns will be living here through part of August, with some staying until Sept. 20. Walking distance to PCPA and Allan Hancock College is a plus, but not required. Donated housing may be tax deductible.

For more information, contact PCPA’s company manager, Amy Barrick, at 928-7731, Ext. 3153.
