The Town Center Gallery is now accepting registration for two sets of weeklong Winter Kids Art Workshops. The classes will be held Monday through Friday, Jan. 3 through 7. The classes are taught by professional artists and teachers who aim to help kids ages 5 to 15 focus their creative energies into art projects.
The 11:30 to 1 p.m. session will be taught by teacher/crafter Beth Ostapiuk. The kids will spend the week making bracelets, necklaces, and rings using recycled materials such as paper, plastic, and wire.
The 1:30 to 3 p.m. session will be taught by teacher/author Michael Corob. Kids will have fun drawing animals, writing stories, and drawing illustrations and cartoon strips to accompany the stories. Each student will take home an illustrated story booklet.
The $50 fee for each set of five classes includes all materials. A snack will be provided for students wishing to stay for both classes. Pre-registration is required, and space is limited. Classes will be held at the Town Center Gallery, 321 Town West. For more information, call 934-5835 or visit thetowncentergallery.com.
