Got a youth-oriented project that needs funding? The Fund for Santa Barbara’s Youth Making Change program is now accepting applications from the public for grants of all sizes totaling $20,000.

Youth Making Change is a youth-led grant program that creates opportunities for young people interested in participating in philanthropic activities. The Santa Maria and Santa Barbara boards oversee the disbursal of approximately $10,000 each.

To receive a grant, projects must be based in Santa Barbara County with adult allies or sponsoring agencies, and they must be youth-oriented and benefit youth in the community.

Interested groups are encouraged to attend a Youth Making Change workshop. The Santa Maria workshop will be on Oct. 14 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Santa Maria Public Library, 421 S. McClelland St.
