The Santa Maria Philharmonic Society presents the sixth annual Youth Showcase event on Jan. 14 this year. The event is an audition-only recital featuring local youth who’ve exhibit laudable skill in classical music.
The concert will feature musicians of several instruments between the ages of 8 and 18. Past recitals have included solos and duets by skilled youth, including students of Santa Maria Philharmonic Orchestra musicians.
The recital begins at 3 p.m. on Jan. 14 at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, 4380 Orcutt Road, Orcutt. Cost to attend is $10. More information is available at (805) 925-0412 or santamariaphilharmonic.org.
