Santa Barbara Women Lawyers announced the group would award Legal Aid Foundation of Santa Barbara County’s Executive Director Ellen Goodstein with the 2010 Deborah Talmage Attorney of the Year Award on Dec. 11.
The honor recognizes outstanding legal professionals who are dedicated to the success of women, mentor colleagues and other women, personify professional excellence, are committed to the highest level of ethics, and are committed to the Santa Barbara community.
In her capacity with the Legal Aid Foundation, Goodstein has worked with victims of domestic violence and has helped provide a legal safety net for low-income residents of the county. Goodstein also serves as president of the board for Sansum Diabetes Research Institute.
