Interested in earning a master’s degree in educational leadership? California Lutheran University is now offering a community partnership program with classes at the Orcutt Union School District administrative offices at 500 Dyer St. in Old Orcutt.The program gives aspiring educational leaders an opportunity to learn from faculty members who have worked as administrators. Graduates go on to become assistant principals, principals, assistant superintendents, and superintendents. They also hold positions in fields such as teacher leadership, higher education, and nonprofit administration.
The community partnership program is designed for working professionals who want to advance their careers. The coursework can be completed in 12 months, with 60 percent of the instruction done in the classroom and 40 percent done online. It’s offered in a weekend format (Friday evenings and Saturdays during the day), which runs for four weekends per an 11-week term.
