Gary Foshee, singer-songwriter, will kick off the 2010/2011 “Sing To Me” concert series at The C Gallery in Los Alamos on Saturday evening, Oct. 2, at 8 p.m. Foshee will open the series with “My Mom Played Guitar,” an evening of original compositions with guitar accompaniment.

Foshee’s mom—a singer/songwriter herself—was the inspiration for his musical career, thus the title of the event. Foshee has played professionally throughout Santa Barbara County as a solo artist and in bands. He also teaches guitar. For this concert, his students can get half-price tickets.

“Sing To Me” concerts are intimate in scale, allowing only 50 people in the all-concrete-walled gallery. Between two 25-minute sets, there’s a backyard bonfire and complimentary champagne.

Tickets cost $20. For more information or to reserve seats, call Connie at 344-3807, e-mail connie@thecgallery.com, or visit the
