The Beattie Park Fun Run is an event geared for all ages and ability levels. Participants can register for either a 5K or a 10K race, and all participants will get a shot at first- and second-place awards. T-shirts can be purchased for $10 and the pre-registration deadline is Sept. 5. The Fun Run takes place on Sept. 7 from 9 to 10 a.m. at Beattie Park, on the corner of Olive Avenue and Fifth Street in Lompoc. Pre-registration is $15, at the event is $20.
