The Colors of Christmas is the theme of the 36th annual Los Padres Artist Guild Christmas Show and Sale, set for Nov. 2, 3, and 4 at Lakeview Junior High School, 3700 Orcutt Road in Orcutt.

The show will feature fine art and handcrafted items created by local artists. Mediums include jewelry, painting, dolls, ceramics, photography, and woodwork, as well as traditional holiday quilts, crochet, and craft items. This is the second year the event will be held at Lakeview Junior High, and at an earlier date than in previous years.

This year’s show is dedicated to Dean and Joyce Nelson, founding members and cornerstones of the Guild. Well known for her lifelike flowers, Joyce donated an elegant oil painting of Christmas flowers and holly berries as a raffle prize. Proceeds from the raffles and a portion of sales will support art student scholarships. Show hours will be Friday, 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.; Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Sunday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is free.
