The Santa Maria Philharmonic is sharing the final concert in the 2013-2014 season’s “Rendezvous Series” featuring the Burnished Brass Quartet, a local brass ensemble. The event is slated for May 4 at 3 p.m. at a private residence in Nipomo.
The “Rendezvous Series” is a celebration of the old “parlor style” concerts of the early 20th century and will include the musicians sharing information and anecdotes about the pieces they are performing. The Burnished Brass Quartet includes Rich Ward and Jerry Boots playing trumpet, Steve Wilson on trombone, and Jennifer Galvan on horn. The ensemble will be performing selections from classical composers.
The suggested donation to attend the event is $40 for adults and $15 for students, with all the proceeds going to the Santa Maria Philharmonic Society. More information is available at 925-0412 or santamariaphilharmonic.org.
