Earlier this month, the Santa Ynez Valley Tribe of Chumash Indians unveiled the results of its $120,000 project at Los Olivos Elementary.
The school is now equipped with a newly renovated multi-purpose tennis facility. Thanks to the help of Sport Court from Southern California, the courts feature a professional surface, new netting, and basketball hoops.
āThe tribe has donated over $18 million throughout the years to our local community, and itās projects like this that we take great pleasure in doing,ā Vincent Armenta, Tribal Chairman for the Santa Ynez Band of Chumash Indians, said in a press release.
The event reception featured speeches from Armenta, the school, and the SYV Youth Recreation President Frank Kelsey.
