The latest exhibition at the Santa Maria Public Library will feature the two passions of one artist: painting live models and developing paintings from sketches made while traveling.

Lompoc artist Joan Jones’ show “Faces and Places” includes local scenes, as well as scenes from Mexico, Norway, and France.

The show will hang in the Shepard Hall Gallery—in the Santa Maria Public Library, 421 S. McClelland St.—through September. The show is free to visit.
