“The business of America is business!” said President Coolidge.

But what are we doing to our most important enterprises?

We favor, coddle, protect to the hilt the one business that is spelling doom for ALL other American money making—fossil fuel.

We fight to bring back coal, oil, and natural gas even though they destroy the atmosphere of the planet. Burning any fossil fuel causes the heat that robs us of our water. All businesses need water.

A mild climate—not too hot, not too cold, not too wet, and not too dry—is exactly what all business must have to carry on.

No, it’s not just polar bears, it’s IBM, General Motors, Archer Daniels Midland, JPMorgan, Microsoft, Apple, General Electric—all of them need a stable, balanced climate to sell their products and make money.

Businesses like insurance, airlines, fisheries, agriculture, tourism, all industry requiring outside work, many of these are today suffering billion-dollar losses due to use of the fossil fuel industry’s products that ruin our climate and cause big killer hurricanes.

When any fossil fuel—oil, coal, natural gas, methane, or others—is burned, or even is just transported and handled, earth-warming emissions is given off in the millions of tons into our precious, earth-protecting, thin, fragile atmosphere surrounding Mother Earth. That causes the earth to heat more and more.

What are the chamber of commerce organizations and government—local to Washington, D.C.—doing to protect all other businesses? Nothing, is the answer.

They are protecting one industry at the expense of all others. They fight any regulation that might help save American free enterprise and capitalism.

In the language of religion, they are committing the worst of mortal sins against capitalism.

Ask your chamber and government representatives—local, state, or national—what they are doing to get us quickly off business-killing, earth-heating fossil fuel and onto a major existing energy source that can save the life of capitalism. Time is running out!
