Area high schools were well represented when the CIF Southern Section released its 2010-11 All-CIF basketball teams on March 23.

Coaches named St. Joseph junior Aly Beebe as the section’s Player of the Year for Division 3-AA. The center led the Lady Knights with 20.7 points, 12.2 rebounds, and three blocked shots per game, and carried the Knights to an appearance in their first CIF state title game in 20 years. Her teammate, senior captain and guard Kelsi English, joined Beebe on the All-CIF team.

Santa Ynez High senior guard Hailey King, who led the Pirates to a share of the Los Padres League title and the third round of the CIF playoffs, made the All-CIF team for Division 4-A. King led the Pirates with 15 points and 2.7 assists per game. Valley Christian Academy’s Una Hertzog, who posted averages of 15 points and 10 rebounds during the season, was named to the All-CIF Division 6-A team.
