The Lompoc Youth Theater’s fundraiser event at Transcendence Wines on April 26 was a success, the performing arts organization announced after the event. The fundraiser was a tock ‘n’ roll party that included donations from local restaurants and wineries. With the funding, the Lompoc Youth Theater will produce Hairspray, Jr. this summer.

Auditions for the production are May 17 in Lompoc. Students will rehearse Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to noon with concentrations in acting, dancing, and singing. The play is performed July 11, 12, 18, and 19. Cost for the camp is $350, $325 for early sign up. More information is available at 975-8100 or lompocyouththeater.org.
