Worries of questionable mortgages may plague homebuyers in today’s market, but Peoples’ Self-Help Housing is helping put those fears to rest with a predatory lending seminar on Jan. 14.

Brian Kerrigan, housing counselor for Peoples’ Self-Help Housing, will lead the free event, sponsored by Bank of America, Peoples’ Self-Help Housing, and Rabobank.

The seminar runs from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at River View Townhomes, 230 Calle Cesar Chavez, in Guadalupe.

Peoples’ Self-Help Housing is a nonprofit that aims to provide affordable housing and programs leading to self-sufficiency for low-income families, seniors, and other special needs groups on the Central Coast.

To reserve a space at the seminar, call 781-3088. For a complete schedule of first-time homebuyers seminars or home foreclosure
