The C Gallery in Los Alamos will be host to a book signing in honor of the upcoming release of Bill Cates’s book To Ride a Fine Horse. Stop by between 5 and 7 p.m. on Sept. 30. The Friday evening event offers a reading and signing, as well as a Tantara wine tasting.
Cates has three other books in print and has penned some stage plays and several screenplays, but is also the senior winemaker and one of the founders and owners of Tantara. Currently, the abstract artwork of Gwen Cates, Bill’s wife, is on exhibit at The C Gallery’s Interior Monologues art show, along with work from sculptor Albert McCurdy.
To Ride a Fine Horse, the most recently published of Cates’s books, is a coming-of-age memoir of a solid, wholesome, young man at the Hamlyn horse stables in Virginia. For more information about Cates’s work, visit calavira.com.
